Buenassa is pleased to announce the appointment of Rodolphe Kembukuswa to its International Advisory Board. A seasoned professional with over three decades of leadership experience in global logistics and regional trade, Mr. Kembukuswa brings a specialized depth of strategic expertise to Buenassa as it scales its industrial footprint in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and advances the development of its secure, end-to-end, Western-aligned midstream corridor.
1. A Pillar of Strategic Guidance
Mr. Kembukuswa joins the International Advisory Board to provide high-level counsel to Buenassa’s leadership, with a particular focus on commercial strategy, logistics architecture and regional corridor development. With more than three decades of senior logistics experience, Mr. Kembukuswa has held leadership roles across Belgium, the DRC, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania, including senior roles with Bolloré Logistics and, later, as Country Managing Director for the DRC at Africa Global Logistics (AGL). His experience navigating cross-border operations, complex regulatory environments and large-scale industrial supply chains across Central, East and Southern Africa will be particularly valuable as Buenassa advances its pre-refinery trading platform and Lualaba Logistics Hub.
"Rodolphe’s arrival is a significant milestone for our International Advisory Board," said Eddy Kioni, Founder and CEO of Buenassa. "His deep mastery of regional logistics is essential as we launch our pre-refinery trading desk and Buenassa’s Lualaba Logistics Hub. His strategic counsel will ensure that our logistical framework is resilient and perfectly aligned with our vision for industrial sovereignty in the DRC. Furthermore, his insights into the Lobito Corridor will be invaluable as we secure efficient, Western-aligned export routes that connect Lualaba’s mineral wealth to global markets."
2. Focus on Governance and Commercial Excellence
In his capacity as an Advisory Board Member, Mr. Kembukuswa will offer independent oversight and strategic advice. His role will be central to the development of Buenassa’s Lualaba Logistics Hub, which focuses on strategic stockpiling operations, logistics and governance & compliance.
"Joining the International Advisory Board of Buenassa is directly in line with my long-standing vision and commitment to African industrial growth," said Rodolphe Kembukuswa. "I am honored to provide targeted, timely advisory support to a Congolese-led initiative that prioritizes local refining and value creation. I look forward to contributing my expertise in regional operations and governance to help structure a world-class commercial strategy for the firm."
3. Professional and Institutional Standing
Mr. Kembukuswa holds a degree in Law and an MBA from the Solvay Business School at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Beyond his current occupation in the international transport & logistics sector, Mr. Kembukuswa has held several prominent board mandates within the banking sector, the Belgium-DRC Chamber of Commerce (CCBL), and the French Business Group (CFA). He also served on several commissions within the Fédération des Entreprises du Congo (FEC) during his tenure in the DRC.
By joining the International Advisory Board, Mr. Kembukuswa reinforces Buenassa’s commitment to world-class governance and strategic excellence.
