KINSHASA / WASHINGTON D.C. / LONDON — 11 March 2026
Buenassa SARL, the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s (DRC) premier industrial developer, today announced a significant expansion of its International Advisory Board. This restructuring establishes a high-level governance framework designed to provide global energy resilience through the secure, transparent, and sovereign industrialization of critical minerals.
By aligning its industrial roadmap with the core principles promoted through the U.S.-led FORGE Initiative (Finance and Operations Resources for Global Energy), Buenassa is furthering its commitment to building secure, transparent, and resilient mineral supply chains, and serving as a bridge between Africa’s resource potential and the standards expected within trusted global partner networks.
"Our expanded board reflects Buenassa’s commitment to serve as an indispensable, high-standard partner in developing and securing the critical mineral supply chains that supports advanced manufacturing and the global energy transition" said Dr. Marie-Paule Donsimoni, Board Chair.
PILLARS OF STRATEGIC GOVERNANCE
The International Advisory Board is now anchored by three pillars of global professional excellence:
1. Board Chair: Dr. Marie-Paule Donsimoni

Dr. Donsimoni continues to direct the group’s institutional governance framework. Her leadership ensures that all Buenassa initiatives adhere to the rigorous transparency and ethical sourcing benchmarks required by multilateral financial institutions and global Tier-1 industrial players across the Atlantic, the Pacific, and the Middle East.
2. Vice Chairwoman: Ms. Elaine Dezenski

A distinguished authority on economic statecraft and supply chain resilience based in Washington D.C., Ms. Dezenski brings an essential national security perspective to the board. A former senior official at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and former advisor to the Export-Import Bank of the United States on global supply chain security and market competitiveness, her mandate focuses on aligning Buenassa's industrial roadmap with the FORGE Initiative and ensuring that the group's expansion remains a cornerstone of secure trade, energy resilience, and supply chain integrity.
3. Vice Chairman: Rt. Hon. Sir Gavin Williamson

Former UK Secretary of State for Defence and Education, Sir Gavin provides a sophisticated geopolitical and security lens. His role focuses on coordinating with diplomatic and strategic stakeholders across the G7 and the Trusted Partner Network, from London to Riyadh, Tokyo, and Seoul, to ensure critical mineral flows remain insulated from global volatility.
A NEW FRAMEWORK FOR INDUSTRIAL SECURITY
Buenassa’s industrial model supports four strategic imperatives:
Supply Chain De-risking: Providing the defense and high-technology sectors with a reliablesource of high-purity copper and cobalt metal and sulfate, offering a secure alternative to nonaligned midstream concentrations.
Transatlantic & Inter-Regional Collaboration: Strengthening industrial ties between the DRC and advanced manufacturing hubs in the U.S., Europe, East Asia, and the GCC to ensure market diversification.
Sovereign Industrialization: Advancing the DRC’s national vision for local value addition,
ensuring mineral transformation contributes directly to regional stability and global security under alignment with the FORGE framework.
Strategic Asset Consolidation: Utilizing sophisticated legal and financial structures to integrate critical mineral assets, thereby enhancing project bankability and supporting the collective industrial security of the Trusted Partner Network.
