Our Projects
Buenassa aims to develop industrial infrastructure that positions the Democratic Republic of Congo as a value-added hub for critical minerals. Each project has been designed to respond to global market needs while ensuring that Congolese resources are processed ethically and domestically, in alignment with national development goals and international supply chain resilience.

The Buenassa Refinery Project
Our flagship project is a best-in-class hydrometallurgical refinery located in Lualaba Province, set to become the first Congolese-led facility to produce LME-grade copper cathodes and battery-grade cobalt sulfate. Developed in close partnership with the Congolese State, this integrated plant will advance local beneficiation, reduce export of raw materials, and enable the DRC to capture greater economic value from its mineral wealth.
Built on the principles of Climate Smart Mining, the refinery will incorporate advanced technology for energy efficiency, water recycling, and responsible sourcing—positioning the DRC as a central player in the global clean energy transition.
FIBC Manufacturing Facility
To support ethical sourcing, logistics, and packaging of critical minerals, Buenassa is also preparing the establishment of a cutting-edge manufacturing facility for Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBCs)—commonly known as industrial Big Bags. Strategically located in the DRC, this facility will meet the region’s growing need for high-quality, traceable packaging solutions adapted to the handling and transport of minerals like copper and cobalt.
The project will directly contributes to local industrialization and import substitution, while reinforcing Buenassa’s commitment to supply chain traceability, logistical integrity, and responsible mineral trading practices.
