The Buenassa Copper & Cobalt Refinery Project
Buenassa is leading the development of a state-of-the-art copper and cobalt refinery in Lualaba Province, at the heart of the DRC’s mineral-rich Copperbelt. This landmark initiative is the first of its kind and aims to transform locally extracted resources into refined, high-value products.
Upon ramp-up, the plant will produce 120 ktpa of LME Grade A copper cathode and 20 tpa of cobalt contained (in metal & sulphate).
